Description

Proposed Plan Change 7 (PC7) to the Land and Water Regional Plan (LWRP) responds to emerging resource management issues, gives effect to relevant national direction, implements recommendations from the Hinds Drains’ Working Party, and implements recommendations in the Waimakariri and Orari-Temuka-Opihi-Pareora (OTOP) Zone Implementation Programme Addenda (ZIPA).  PC7 is comprised of three parts – Part A which is an ‘Omnibus’ plan change that generally amends region-wide provisions , Part B relates to the OTOP Sub-region and generally amends s14 of the Plan, and Part C relates to the Waimakariri Sub-region and generally amends s8 of the Plan.   

Proposed Plan Change 2 (PC2) to the Waimakariri River Regional Plan (WRRP) remove from the Waimakariri River Regional Plan provisions that relate to the area covered by Section 8 (Waimakariri sub-region) of the Canterbury Land and Water Regional Plan (CLWRP). The WRRP continues to apply to the main stem of the Waimakariri River, the upper catchment including its headwaters, and an area of land south of the Waimakariri River.
