Description
This map is pre-loaded with layers that relate to land parcel property information, including features like:- District council boundaries
- District council valuation and internet links to rates information from the appropriate District Council (where available)
- District planning zones
- Air quality zones
- School enrollment zones
- Water utilities information for water supply, waste water, and storm water (where available)
- Canterbury Water Management Strategy zones
It defaults to using the most up-to-date aerial photography basemap currently available to the Canterbury Maps Data Sets.
Clicking a location on the map will bring up the summary information of the above features for the location clicked as a popup.
The information displayed in this map has been sourced from the various District and Regional Councils within the area covered by Canterbury Maps, including Environment Canterbury Regional Council, Kaikoura District Council, Hurunui District Council, Waimakariri District Council, Christchurch City Council, Selwyn District Council, Ashburton District Council, Timaru District Council, Waimate District Council, Mackenzie District Council and Waitaki District Council. Other information is sourced from Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).
