Explore the complexity of Whakaraupo/Lyttelton Harbour Catchment: its history, environment, communities and planned port development. Learn about the challenges we face in restoring its ecological and cultural health.
Canterbury Regional Council, Lyttelton Port Company Limited, Te Hapu o Ngati Wheke, Christchurch City Council and Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu are collaborating on the development of the Whakaraupo/ Lyttelton Harbour Catchment Management Plan. This initiative will see these organisations working with the community and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate restoration of the ecological and cultural health of the harbour.
