Description
The discharge from onsite wastewater systems is permitted under rule 5.8 of the Land and Water Regional Plan.This mapping application will not determine compliance but can be used as an aid for assessing
compliance against the conditions in rule 5.8.
It has been designed for use by
regulation authorities in partnership with Environment Canterbury and can
assist in determining:
- whether the land is contaminated
- whether archaeological
sites are present
- separation distances from wells and surface water bodies
- and potential depth to groundwater (by exporting data into excel)
